Vavaz Magazine

About Vavaz

We make a magazine that kids finish. Then they write to us about it, and that becomes the next one.

What Vavaz is

A magazine for kids that is genuinely fun to read. Stories that continue, puzzles that take a minute to crack, facts that get read out loud at dinner, and jokes that are sometimes very bad on purpose.

Who it's for

Kids ages 5–13 who like reading when it's worth it, and the parents who would rather hand over a magazine than a screen. Jewish kids will spot a lot of themselves in it; everyone else is welcome too.

What to expect

Every issue has the same favorites — Kicking Tree, Letter Lingo, the Feature, Aris Adventure, Puzzle Pieces, Funny Fotos, The Up-to-Dates, Tiki Bomb and Holy Gaucamole — plus whatever the readers send in that month.

Why it exists

Because most kids' magazines talk at kids. Vavaz hands them the pen. Half of every issue is reader artwork, reader answers, reader jokes and reader stories.

How you join in

Send something in. A drawing, a story, a photo, an answer, a birthday, an idea. If it's good, it runs — with your first name on it.
